Entity host — ownership & consulting

Dedicated customer hosts (entity platform): transfer cleanly to the customer, or keep TCHR as managed operator. Same modules and brand JSON either way. Not a portal subscription product.

Estimates until measured. Cloud infrastructure is pass-through, named separately. Formal assignment and license language belong in a written agreement (not legal advice here).

Customer-owned (clean transfer)

Host runs under their cloud account, DNS, and SSH after acceptance. They own their business data. TCHR keeps platform software IP under a license. After cutover, TCHR is optional support only.

  • Entity JSON freezes brand + modules
  • Keys rotated; TCHR standing root removed
  • SQLite + media handoff verified
  • No portal shop/paywall on the host

TCHR-managed service

TCHR operates the droplet (or project). Customer uses product accounts; they still own business data by contract. Monthly ops fee + pass-through host cost. Exit via transfer package when ready.

  • Same white-label chrome + modules
  • Backups and update windows in SOW
  • Change-request hours bank or T&M overage
  • HDMC connector not required to run the host

Same product face either way

Brand, packs, and modules come from the customer entity record. Farm customers can enable lots; media customers enable studio/vision — ownership model does not strip the lot-oriented database or force farm chrome.

Consulting packages (USD estimates)

Hourly when not packaged: platform engineering $125/hr · deploy ops $95/hr · entity host ops $110/hr. Prefer measured hours at category rates.

First dedicated entity host (build)

One-time · ~48h mid · labor ~$5,520 mid ($3,100–$8,000) · host ~$24/mo pass-through

Repeat customer entity host (playbook)

One-time · ~18h mid · labor ~$2,070 mid · after first playbook exists

Clean ownership transfer to customer

One-time · ~12h mid · labor ~$1,320 mid ($950–$2,200) · checklist, keys, DNS, data, acceptance

TCHR-managed entity host (monthly)

  • Base $149/mo — watch, updates, backup check, 1h bank
  • Standard $249/mo — 3h bank + brand/module updates in bank
  • Priority $449/mo — 8h bank + quarterly restore drill
  • Plus droplet pass-through (~$24/mo class host, named on invoice)
  • Overage $110/hr entity host ops (measured)

Modules & pack consulting (T&M)

$110/hr — pack/module selection, lots enablement, white-label review

MSA, license, and assignment — processes to meet

Not legal advice. Counsel here means a licensed lawyer (or firm of licensed lawyers) retained or employed for the party on the matter — not ops checklists, templates, or AI. Counsel owns final wording. Ops will not provision a production host or complete ownership transfer without the gates below (signed instruments on file).

  • MSA — commercial framework (fees, data roles, confidentiality, IP baseline, no personal operator data on entity hosts). Gate: signed before production provision.
  • SOW / order — named package (build, managed tier, transfer) with deliverables, price basis, acceptance. Gate: signed before that package starts.
  • Software license — right to run the entity stack; TCHR keeps platform IP; customer keeps brand and business data. Gate: signed before secrets/root handoff on transfer.
  • Assignment / transfer acceptance — infra control, data ownership acknowledgment, what is not assigned (platform IP, core-three marks, other tenants). Gate: executed before transfer is declared complete.

Minimum sets: managed go-live = MSA + SOW + license · customer-owned transfer complete = those three + assignment + acceptance. Full process: config/entity_platform/entity_legal_instruments_process.json

Clean transfer steps (technical, after instruments)

  1. Instruments signed (MSA, SOW, license; assignment packet for cutover)
  2. Freeze entity JSON (brand + modules) for that customer id
  3. Cloud under customer account (or transfer / rebuild)
  4. Rotate secrets; customer SSH keys; remove standing TCHR root after accept
  5. DNS/TLS on their domain
  6. Data handoff (SQLite, media) — no personal operator data
  7. Acceptance: login, chrome, modules, backup drill
  8. Post-transfer: their ops or purchased T&M only

Not this desk

Not portal SaaS subscriptions sold as entity host access. Not HQ personal finance mesh. Not automatic HDMC fleet connector. Compliance lot consulting remains on the compliance consulting desk when that is the work.
